About Bit Esports

An independent publication covering Indian esports, skill gaming and mind sports — and never real-money gaming.

Bit Esports is an independent publication covering competitive esports, skill gaming and mind sports for an Indian audience. We cover BGMI, Valorant, Free Fire, mobile and PC esports, the business of the scene, gaming creators, and India’s growing chess community.

What we are — and what we are not

India recognises esports and online real-money gaming as two entirely different things. Esports was formally recognised under the Ministry of Youth Affairs and Sports in 2022 and included in the Asian Games. Online real-money gaming was restricted under the Promotion and Regulation of Online Gaming Act 2025.

We cover the first and never the second. No rummy, teen patti, Andar Bahar, colour prediction, fantasy-for-cash, or “earn money playing games” content. No gambling advertising. That line is the point of this publication, not a disclaimer.

How we work

Accuracy is the whole job. We aim to get roster names, tournament formats and patch details right, we date and re-test our guides, and we correct mistakes openly. See our editorial policy and corrections pages.

This is a young publication and we are building coverage steadily. If you spot an error, tell us.
